Silverpaw bounded off and stalked through the ferns. She spotted a small doe. She crept towards it and lunged. she killed it quickly and sat there, with it in her mouth, puffing out her chest with pride. "Want some?" she said through a mouthfull of deer. (Sorry, not that great but I ish to hyper! and I don;t have much timje!)

Sandstorm laughed. "Well, now who is going to help me get my fresh-kill back? You'll have your jaws full!" he sighed, pausing. "You know we can't have any before we feed the others."

Silverpaw dropped the deer. "Oh, I forgot." Silverpaw slid her ears to her skull in shame. Silverpaw perked up. "A Gathering is soon, isn't it?" She didn't wait for a reply, but drug the deer all across the land until reaching the camp. She set her catch down in the fresh-kill pile and darted back, helping Sandstorm to carry in the kill. "When are you going to become leader, Sandstorm?" Silverpaw asked. She knew the deputy had to become leader sometime. The clan couldn't go leaderless for long.

"I'm not sure. When we get back, I'll go talk to the elders," he exclaimed, confused as well. Everything was happening so fast. One day he was happy to be a warrior, then the deputy, and finally he was to become leader?!? It almost seemed like too much, but the warrior knew his clan needed him.
