Crystalfire stared long and hard at Whitefire, her gaze not ridicueling, but thoughtful. "She needs time to rest." she said gently to the dog.

"They're fine, good and healthy. Before I get more comfortable, can we move to the nursery? I feel exposed!" she replied, now more awake. She picked up one of the pups in her jaws, holding it with much caution. She glanced at Crystalfire, Whitefire, and her leader. One of them had to take the other pup.

Once inside, Spottedfur plopped down after placing one of her beautiful, healthy pups beside her.

Rainpup, who had been carried by the leader, squirmed closer to Spottedfur and fell asleep. Spottedfur sat there for a moment, just watching each one sleep. Then, she wrapped her tail around them and dozed.

Sunstream saw Anubisstar walk out of the nursery and went over to him. "Did the pupping go well?" The cream and ginger she-wolf asked her leader. She hoped that Spottedfur had a healthy birth and that the pups were fine.
